Editorial and research policy

The publication rules used for source summaries, calculations, guides, corrections and advertising.

Published by PropertyMetrics Research DeskLast reviewed: 13 August 2026

Source facts remain attributable

A public-record statement must identify its source and retain the limits of that source. We do not turn the absence of a returned record into proof that an event, risk or designation does not exist.

Calculations remain reproducible

Descriptive statistics and cost-model outputs must follow documented formulas and visible inputs. We do not label an estimated, adjusted or user-entered value as an official record.

Unknowns stay visible

Missing floor area, condition, title terms, rent evidence or professional findings remain missing. Product copy should prompt verification rather than complete the gap with a generic assumption.

No fabricated experience

PropertyMetrics does not publish invented buyers, transactions, reviews, testimonials, survey findings or claimed investment results. Constructed examples, if introduced later, must be identified as examples and kept separate from live records.

Review responsibilities

The Research Desk reviews data-source descriptions, calculations and product documentation. Professional legal, surveying, mortgage, planning or tax conclusions are outside its remit and are not implied by an editorial review.

Advertising separation

Advertising, if introduced, will not determine source selection, comparable ranking, evidence-set labels or guide conclusions. Sponsored material must be visibly identified. Ads will not be presented as navigation, tool output or a recommended professional.

Updates

Guides show a review date. A material correction should identify what changed and when. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a separate correction notice.
