Cookie and local-storage policy

What the current product stores in the browser and what will change if analytics or advertising is introduced.

Published by PropertyMetrics Research DeskLast reviewed: 13 August 2026

Current cookie use

PropertyMetrics does not intentionally set analytics, advertising or preference cookies. Hosting infrastructure may use essential security mechanisms needed to deliver and protect the service.

Browser local storage

The research workspace uses local storage so a user can save and reopen a case on the same device. The key is propertymetrics-cases-v2. It may contain a case name, postcode, selected transaction identifiers, comparable adjustments, dated case notes and due-diligence statuses.

Local storage is not automatically sent with every web request like a cookie. PropertyMetrics reads it in the browser to restore the workspace. Clearing site data removes the saved cases.

Future analytics and advertising

Analytics or advertising technologies will not be enabled silently. Before activation, PropertyMetrics will document each provider and purpose, define retention, implement the consent controls required for the target regions and update this page.
